Rancho Olivera
About Us
Tucked away in the scenic, rolling hills of northern San Diego County lies our charming family-owned ranch—a haven for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. For over two decades, our family has nurtured a deep passion for aviculture, specializing in the breeding and care of some of the most exquisite birds: peafowl and seramas.
Our journey began 20 years ago with a few chickens and peafowl. Fascinated by their majestic plumes and serene demeanor, we delved deeper into the world of peafowl. A decade ago, this fascination turned into a dedicated hobby as we started breeding and hatching these magnificent creatures. Today, our ranch is a kaleidoscope of colors, home to a spectacular array of peafowl varieties. From the regal India Blue to the pristine White, and from the striking Pied to the unique Silver Pied and Black Shoulder, our peafowl paint a vibrant picture against the lush green backdrop of our ranch.
But our avian adventure doesn’t stop there. We also cherish a wonderful collection of seramas, known as the smallest chickens in the world. Our seramas come in an array of beautiful varieties, including Traditional and Malaysian, with color patterns ranging from Blue to Cuckoo, and Splash to Wheaten—each bird a tiny marvel of nature.
Visitors and fellow bird lovers are always welcome to explore the enchanting world we’ve built here. Whether you’re a seasoned aviculturist or a curious newcomer, our ranch offers a unique glimpse into the rewarding world of bird breeding.
